I'm originally from Honolulu, Hawaii - and began tattooing in 2006 after feeling totally disenfranchised in the corporate world. After completing my apprenticeship, I relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada - of which I spent ten years tattooing on the strip at Club Tattoo. I've traveled extensively and enjoy cooking, film, collecting vinyl records, working with my hands, and the outdoors with my wife and dogs.
My philosophy for tattooing revolves around getting to know each of my clients as well as I can. In an age where the taboos and stigmas of getting a tattoo have lessened, it seems that more of the masses get ink that they inevitably regret due to budget, life experience, feeling rushed, and falling out of love with the initial idea. I challenge my clients (no matter what size piece) into thinking long-term about their goals regarding skin art and I have a good reputation for consulting as many times as necessary until we both feel comfortable in executing those ideas.
Tattoo shops can be scary places. I've personally walked into shops on many travels and felt uncomfortable with the cleanliness, music, portfolios, and general vibe. I invite you in to sit on my couch, talk about anything and get a general sense of how we do things. Most of my clients become legitimate friends, and we try our best to promote a fun culture in the shop where different cultures, backgrounds and ideas meet.
